Nestled in the coastal rainforest on the west coast of Vancouver Island, the IISAAK Ecolodge is situated on the inlet side of the Tofino peninsula.

By staying with us at the Ecolodge, you become part of a living vision that supports Indigenous knowledge systems, education, community wellbeing, and nature stewardship.

**Our facility is operated by an educational non-profit, with all proceeds going to support nature stewardship, where Indigenous knowledge and Western science come together in service of the betterment of all.**

Whether you are planning a personal retreat, a small group gathering, a field schools, a yoga retreat, a staff retreat, or a full-lodge booking, the Ecolodge offers flexible accommodation options in a peaceful and inspiring setting. 

Guests may book:

  • Individual rooms for solo stays and personal retreats
  • Multiple rooms for small groups
  • The entire Ecolodge for exclusive group bookings

Our Ecolodge offers a simple, quiet, and unplugged atmosphere designed to help guests connect with the surrounding landscape and culture. Rooms do not include televisions, and we do not offer room service. Complimentary Wi-Fi is available throughout the Ecolodge for those who wish to stay connected.

Staying at the IISAAK Ecolodge

The Ecolodge is an alcohol-free facility that supports wellbeing and respectful experiences.

Your stay may include:

  • Accommodation in our 12-room Lodge (max. capacity 25 guests)
  • Access to (or exclusive use of) the activity room on 2nd floor (capacity 35)
  • Access to (or exclusive use of) the dinner and lounge area on 1st floor (capacity 30)
  • Visiting our the Naa’Waya’Sum Coastal Gardens, čukʷaa haʔuk Cafe, and Carving Facility & Gallery during hours of operation
  • Support from campus staff for orientation and visit

A kitchen service operates within the Lodge, with simple and affordable meals (available depending on scheduling).

Group Bookings

In addition to staying at the Ecolodge, the IISAAK OLAM Foundation welcomes groups seeking meaningful space for learning, planning, reflection, and connection. For groups that are especially keen to learn about Indigenous stewardship of land, we offer “Productive Retreat” options below which include deeper levels of care and immersion in land-based and cultural experiences.

Examples of optional features for a Productive Retreat

  • Territorial welcome and Tribal Parks drive-in tour with Nuu-chah-nulth knowledge holders and/or;
  • Lecture on Nuu-chah-nulth laws and worldviews and guided Campus tour and/or;
  • Knowledge exchange sessions with Nuu-chah-nulth leaders.

Rooms & Rates for 2026

We offer two room categories depending on the experience you are looking for. Rates vary based on preferences and season.

Standard Rooms

Simple, comfortable rooms located on the first or second floor, with either shared or private bathrooms, depending on the room type.

Prices range from $125 to $275 depending on preferences, washroom style, and season. 

Suites

Fully private rooms with simple kitchenettes and sitting areas. Ideal for couples, small families, or professionals seeking a more comfortable get-away experience or place to do focused work.

Prices range from $300 to $450 depending on preferences, washroom style, and season.

Plan Your Stay at the IISAAK Ecolodge

Important Notes

Insurance requirements: For full-lodge bookings and some group bookings, the Renter must, at their own expense, maintain third-party liability insurance covering their activities on the premises, with a minimum coverage of CAD $5,000,000, effective throughout the rental period. The IISAAK OLAM Foundation (the “Leaseholder”) and Clayoquot Indigenous Conservation Innovation Centre (the “Owner”) must be named as additional insured parties. Proof of insurance via a ‘certificate of additional insured’ must be provided to the Leaseholder at least three (3) weeks before the event.

Parking: A maximum of 10 cars can be accommodated in the lodge parking lot.
Minimum night stay: There is a 2-night minimum for all bookings.

Cleaning fee: A mandatory cleaning fee is added to the rental fee for your stay.
